Summia Heat Alert helps users view local WBGT, heat-risk, and air-quality information. This policy explains what information the app may collect, how it is used, and the choices available to users.

  • Find nearby National Weather Service grid data or other relevant weather data sources.
  • Update app widgets and optional background refresh features.

4. Location Information

Location access is used to provide local weather-risk information. Latitude and longitude may be sent to weather and air-quality providers only as needed to retrieve local conditions, forecasts, and related information. Summia Heat Alert does not sell your location data.

You can disable location access at any time in your device settings. Some app features may not work correctly without location permission.

5. Third-Party Services

The app may rely on third-party services that process data under their own privacy policies, including:

  • National Weather Service and related public weather data services.
  • WeatherAPI or other weather and air-quality data providers.
  • Firebase services, including Firebase Analytics and Firebase Cloud Messaging.
  • Google Mobile Ads.
  • RevenueCat for subscription and purchase management.
  • Apple App Store or Google Play for purchases, subscriptions, and distribution.

6. Data Storage and Retention

Some data, such as saved locations, widget settings, cached weather data, and notification preferences, may be stored locally on your device. Local data remains on your device until you change settings, clear app data, or uninstall the app.

Third-party services may retain analytics, advertising, notification, or purchase-related data according to their own retention policies.

7. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared with third-party service providers only to operate app features, provide weather and air-quality data, deliver notifications, support analytics, manage subscriptions, display ads, comply with legal obligations, or protect the app and its users.

  • Turning notification permission on or off.
  • Changing alert and widget settings in the app.

  • Uninstalling the app to remove locally stored app data from your device.

9. Children’s Privacy

Summia Heat Alert is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Summia Heat Alert provides informational weather-risk guidance only. It is not a medical device and does not replace professional medical advice, emergency services, employer safety rules, or official local guidance.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
